About the Project
In my role as a senior digital designer at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, I helped create, document, and maintain the design systems for the company's digital products. These design systems were based on the atomic design methodology. Part of this work included a significant modernization effort to bring the component libraries into the Figma ecosystem, where I carefully crafted each component to take advantage of the capabilities Figma offered. I then continued to update and maintain said libraries based on user needs and business goals.
Components were documented within Supernova, a design system platform. Documentation contained descriptions of the component, use cases, and important UX guidelines such as text limits and accessibility concerns. Links to the component within the Figma library and image previews of the component's variations were also included.
